How does A Little Birdie work?
You enter what you know about the person, such as name, city, employer, phone number, or social handle. Our AI searches 40+ sources including court records across all 50 states, social media, and professional registries, then delivers a plain-English report with everything fact-checked.
How much does a background check cost?
A single background check starts at $6.99. We also offer a Single + Deep Dive for $9.99, a Standard subscription for $19.99/month (8 searches), and a Pro subscription for $39.99/month (10 searches with enhanced records).
What sources does A Little Birdie search?
We search 40+ national and local sources including civil and criminal court records across all 50 states, professional license registries, marriage and divorce filings, social media profiles, and more.
Will the person know I searched them?
No. We only look at publicly available information and we never notify the person. Your search is private and leaves no trace on their end.
Is it legal to run a background check on someone?
Yes, for personal informational purposes. Everything in our reports is already public. What matters is how you use it: our reports may not be used for employment, tenant, credit, or insurance decisions, which are regulated by the FCRA, or for stalking or harassment of any kind.
Is A Little Birdie a consumer reporting agency?
No. A Little Birdie is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. Our reports are for informational purposes only and should not be used for employment screening, tenant screening, or credit decisions.
What if a report about me is wrong?
Email us at alittlebirdie.app@gmail.com. If we confirm our Service compiled or presented information incorrectly, we will correct or suppress it in future reports where feasible. We cannot change the underlying public records themselves; those belong to the court or agency that maintains them.
Can I get a refund?
Because reports are generated instantly, we generally cannot refund delivered reports. If a report was generated in error or the service malfunctioned, contact us and we will review it case by case.
